Concept Art: Good vs. Evil
In the year 2017 I attended a concept art course by Leon Ropeter at my design college. This was also the first time I heard about artstation and so I chose to make this my first upload on here. I meant to create this portfolio a long time ago but yeah, life, lol.
You know how concept art works – several sketches, iterations, tests, yeah. All of this happened for these two, too. The idea was to create two medical or heaing professionas for a fictive game. In my case I thought of two medics for a shooter that plays at war times. Humans vs. Vampires. The player could choose between either the good (human) or the evil (vampire) team and each of them had one medic. The human medic is called Molly and the evil one is called Lyra.
I used two separate shading styles as practise for myself. Molly got a combination between cel shading and gradients while the shading of Lyra is a little softer. I developed this kind of style with these two and have used it ever since! 🙂
